Position: Operations Engineer

Location: Mumbai

Responsibilities:

• Responsible in playing a key role within Operations to maintain the core product, 3rd party hardware and software, and peripheral applications to support the Device Management (DM) deployment at Customer Site Daily routine tasks, such as report generation
• Responsible to ensure the deployed solution it meets the customer’s requirements, as defined
• Responsible for providing 24x7 post-sale technical support to customers
• Maintaining and supporting the day to day operation of the DM solutions deployed at the customer site
• Performing system updates, adds, changes to the applications, device testing, trouble ticket management and resolution, change control, performance monitoring, alarm monitoring, systems maintenance, running system reports and any other task associated with running the daily DM operations
• Report issues found to Engineering for resolution, as well as making recommendation for necessary tuning and/or hardware configuration changes as necessary

Qualification & Experience:

• Technical Degree (BTech in CS or EE preferred)
• Minimum of 2 years of experience
• Telecom/Wireless knowledge
• Performance and benchmark experience
• Experience in working with both domestic and international customers
• Well organized and able to multi-task under pressure in an ad-hoc environment
• SQL/Oracle DB expertise, Oracle Realtime Clusters 11g and Dataguard experience preferred
• Intermediate to expert level in UNIX (Solaris prefered)
• Shell scripting and/or programming (sh, ksh, csh, PERL, Java/J2EE) experience
• Enterprise with Sun server management or deployment experience
• Intermediate to expert level in data networking TCP/IP, SNMP/NMS, HTTP and SSL
• Familiar with High Availability operations in a 24x7 Network Operations Centre environment
• Understanding of Backup, Disaster Recovery mechanisms.
• Strong networking background and troubleshooting skills
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills
• Pleasant people person, result and detail oriented. Go-getter, get it done attitude
• Strong analytical ability. Ability to take the lead and drive to resolution
